This was myself and Aubreys site visit. It was in Stellenbosch in Dorp Street. It was just dowm the road from the firm from which we are working at. We had to go and measure up a room which would be converted into offices. This is a plan of the room which Aubrey and myself drew up.

Elevations

We were then ask to convert the drawings to AutoCAD. Myself (Lucienne Myburgh) did the plan. Aubrey did the elevations.

We gave the drawing to the senior architect and he drew in a layout proposal which I had to convert into AutoCAD.

This was the end result which would be proposed to the client. Myself (Lucienne Myburgh) did the plan. Aubrey did the elevation.

I was then asked by the senior architect to convert it into AutoCAD so that a proposal could be created. A layout proposal was drawn in by the senior architect in pencil which then I had to convert into AutoCAD.

This was the final proposed idea for the client. Creating a working space to accomadate more people.

This was a site visit in Vlottenberg outside of Stellenbosch. We had to measure up the house so that later on renevations can take place because these house where old and worn inside. We were each alocated a house to measure up by ourselves. This is my own drawing of how the house would look like in plan with the dimensions.

I then had to convert my drawing into AutoCAD for later refferencing and so that renevations would be able to be layed out for a proposal for the client.
1) What is the purpose of the drawing/information?
2) Who are the people for whom you have prepared the drawing/information?
3) Are there any other ways to provide the same drawing/information?
4) Explain the purpose of every component of the drawing/information mean (for example, why do you put certain dimensions on a specific drawing?)
1) It is for the purpose of redesigning the interior layout of the rooms in the existing office blocks.
2) The drawings are for the senior architect who would then show the client of the respected business.
3) No
4) The dimensions are there to show the size of the area and to show the size of the furniture. They are also there so that the size of the materials are known to the contractors.
